The band was formed in 1996 in Agoura Hills, California. LP’s album Hybrid Theory, Mateora, Minutes to Midnight and a Thousand Suns were no doubt a huge hit. They became well-known internationally in 2005 with the release of their album, 'Hybrid Theory', which was a certified Diamond record album by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). LP is known for their extensive touring and charity work. It was declared to be the 6th best band in the world. They coordinated with other rappers too like Jay-Z and produced many other genres of music and their success can be known by the fact that they have sold more than 50 million albums throughout the world.
